I kind of love the Asus Eee PC because it is very small and very light. I have an Acer Laptop and it is really a big burden on my small shoulders .

Haven’t heard about this Medion Akoya mini before… let me check it out… OK; just did a google image search. Looks very neat I must say and you got it with windows xp? You are one lucky man. I thought all new computers were automatically equipped with the dreaded Visa these days. I got a new notebook (Dell Inspiron, serves my purposes and handles the HSDPA-UMTS-Internet-I don’t know what connection quite nicely).
Sort off topic: Have you seen any sci-fi programs from the late 80′s lately? Seem’s like my study at home looks more high tech these days than the Star Trek TNG bridge.
Seems like technological progress ovcertook sci-fi faster than we thought

I never heard about anyone using his/her mobile phone as a remote control. Neat idea, though.
I rather sit in the park with my neat UMTS Flatrate and check my emails.

As much as I like the concept of the Asus Eee PC as a cheap and reliable notebook for everyone, I regret the fact that it is (once again) T-Mobile which cooperates with a major player. They already offer the iPhone with an UMTS Flatrate and they are the only ones in Germany where you can get the iPhone. Now they will offer the Arsus Eee, great machine, and once agaion they will offer it with UMTS Flatrate or HSDPA.
I don’t like this company. Whenever they make headline news it’s usually something bad (like spying on their employees).
Ah well, at last you can get the Asus via Amazon and others.
